Final: Disoriented Realm
After Effects Energy
Here is how my After Effects tutorial-watching is set up. This is also taking longer than expected but it WILL WORK.
THE FILM STILL NEEDS MAJOR EDITING. I cut the footage down to a bit over 4 min from around 8 min. I was not happy with how the film was developing in a more experimental way because that wasn’t quite the goal. I wanted more of a plot so I rewrote the story and came up with a script. Some of the cuts are still choppy and I may still need to cut a few shots out. The footage is basically used to put the story in an environment, it is not the focus of the film.
Script, left untitled for now.
Here’s a sample of the rough edit. It’s taking longer than anticipated, mostly because it’s a huge learning process. The audio needs to be worked on some more, along with the footage. But I’m determined to make this work.
This past weekend I went home and shot footage for my film. I’m in the process of editing it now. Next week I’ll move into the next step and begin the visual effects.

I am still developing the idea for my project. My concept of using light graffiti is the same, but the technique is different. This might change again as I experiment with photography, video, light, and software, but I am now looking at creating a stop-motion, converting it to a video file, and then adding AE light streaks.
I’ve been watching many tutorials…

Inspiration. Beautiful.
I need more experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects so for this project I will be creating a light graffiti stop-motion animation to music. Light graffiti is new to me but I think you can do interesting things with it and I would like to experiment with it. I tried it out a couple times to get a feel for it.
